About Us

Who is Amina?

Amina is an Uyghur woman who is also a single mother of two. She is my mother. She came from Xinjiang which is located in the North West region of China. In 2009 she migrated to Malaysia and stayed there for a decade with her kids. While living in Malaysia, Malaysian sambal was a big part of her cooking practices. With the chili recipe that was passed down to her family for three generations and the Malaysian sambal influence, she was able to develop her own unique recipe.

Founder of Amina’s Recipe

Amina's oldest daughter Nafisa, showed a passion toward Uyghur cuisine and began exploring chili products after moving to the United States in 2019. However, none of the chilli sauces that were available in the US market could satisfy her. Meanwhile, her mother was diagnosed with Osteoarthritis. As a new immigrant, she witnessed the hardship that her family was facing, and decided to share the recipe that Amina had passed down to her.

Why choose Amina’s Recipe?

We are profoundly dedicated to our vision and values of fresh/finest ingredients that are organic and vegan. What distinguishes Amina’s Recipe from other chili brands is the family recipe influenced by Uyghur cuisine and the unique flavors found in Malaysian Sambal chili paste.
